Well i may not have experienced the civil war but i certainly know violence isn't the way. Nigerian govt can do better with this situation and deploying the army only to the South-east and South-south alone leaving out the north which are also part of all these violent tension just increases the division within the country and the call for independence. I am igbo and i know Nnamdi Kanu is fighting somewhat a just cause by trying to liberate easterners and trying to be the MLK Jnr of Nigeria but the difference here is that MLK jnr didn't fight for succession (separation) but for equality. I strongly believe in one Nigeria and cohabitation if only our leaders can get it right. USA is a larger nation than Nigeria, yet they accommodate each-other. I believe this fight should be about Treaty and not Referendum. Let each state be independent of the Central authority (federal govt) and develop itself with whatever natural resource it has and funds that it can generate (just like Lagos is doing without oil money) then remit a certain percentage of the revenue to the federal govt just like USA does. Then lets see if any state will remain idle and depending on oil money from another state or hear whoever wants to cry marginalization. This whole uprising might lead to a full blown war and this is the last thing Nigeria needs and from studies and case scenarios e.g Sudan & South Sudan, USSR & the Soviet Union, Northern Africa, the Arab Rising etc no succession can ever be peaceful and war isn't the way. PEACE & UNITY above all, God bless Nigeria.

My brother be careful of ur utterances, be it Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba we are all Nigerians and should sue for peace not more division with hate speech. All we should be fighting for is better governance, peace & unity and a better Nigeria, and not who has sense and who doesn't. Because at the end of the day when the eyes bleed, it will definitely also affect the nose.
