A video of a Nigerian police recruit crying and shouting during a tear gas training, is currently trending online for obvious reasons. In the video,  the police recruit can be heard screaming and requesting for water to wash his face.
Tear gas training is one of the training new police recruits are required to go to undergo before they can be admitted into the police force. Tear gas, formally known as a lachrymator agent or lachrymator, sometimes colloquially known as mace, is a chemical weapon that causes severe eye, respiratory, and skin irritation, pain, bleeding, and even blindness.
