PHOTOS: Okorocha Erects Statue Of Liberian President Sirleaf In Owerri Ahead Of Two-Day Visit To Imo

Governor Rochas Okorocha yesterday announced that President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf would be in Imo State on a 2-day working visit.

Meanwhile, a photograph of her statue been leaked online.

Seems like Gov Okorocha has erected Statues for all African Presidents?
Is this not a waste of the state's Treasury?Of what use are these Statues to the people of the state when many cry that salaries have not been paid?



South Africa, Jacob Zuma was also hosted by Governor Okorocha,and given a Chieftaincy title and a statue was unveiled in his honour.

what are the priority of some governors, is it to impress other world leaders, what are they doing wrong. Are they trying to look bigger than their selves, what is the gain or profit from erecting status.

there are so many ways to interpret his actions but I would like to know the governor's perspective maybe he is a genius. Some countries erect status to honor powerful and richer leaders to show appreciation and encourage the generosity of the powerful leader, others do so to show honor, But why is this governor doing this, is he a poor governor, is he trying to honor the presidents, or is he trying to demonstrate his power and influence. Although he may have some other reason, it seems like he is wasting economic resources, we need to develop electricity generation and other immediate necessities.
