There was mild drama as the group of good governance protesters led by veteran musician, Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, stormed the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Abuja to demand proactive and reactive steps from the federal government over the plight of Nigerians sold as slaves in Libya.

The group carried out the protest strapped in chains, handcuffs and sealed mouth to drive home their points.

This comes as the Nigerian Charge D’Affaire to Libya, Ambassador Iliya Danladi Fachano, addressed the media on reports of auctioning of Nigerian migrants and kidnapping for ransom in the country.

Details later….

Slave trade cannot be stopped, due to the economic situation, and this can be a strong psychological weapon, if we move past the concept of acquiring wealth to show off to acquiring wealth to change our world, if we focus on changing our world rather than showing off, everyone would gain and the unborn.

Well ! That’s is if there’s a government in charge of the nation affairs ,but in the case of Libya ,there’s no functioning central government. The country is divided under different sectional group leadership .In some quarters you have the millitant totally in control of resources control and daily affairs of state matters ,and while in Tripoli u have a kitchen cabinet paying millitant a chunky bulky amount for security .So,in contrast there’s simply no functioning government in place in Libya as at now to follow up our complaint,or to take a swift action to stem this atrocious crime.Libya as at now can be regarded as banana fall on me or free for all
