The Red Devils have not tasted defeat at home this year and will be expected to continue with that feat on Tuesday

Manchester United welcome CSKA Moscow to Old Trafford for their Group A Uefa Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.

Having missed the chance to seal their place in the knock-out stage of the competition in their previous outing against Basel, Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking for maximum points.

A point will however be enough to see them through to the next round as they sit at the summit of the Group with 12 points, three ahead of the Swiss and the Russian sides.

They will also be high in confidence having thumped fierce rivals Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.

The Red Devils have won their last 13 matches played at Old Trafford and are hot favourites to win.

Both sides have met just five times with two of their meetings ending in a stalemate and is on offer for the same result to repeat itself.


For Viktor Goncharenko’s charges, they have never defeated the Europa League champions in all their previous meetings. The reverse fixture at the VEB Arena ended 4-1 in favour of United indicate that they have a slim chance of causing an upset.

United are unbeaten in their last 42 home games and the betting firm is offering for them to avoid defeat.

Mourinho’s side have not failed to find the net in their last 18 home games. They have also scored eight goals in their last three duels and the betting firm is offering for goals.

Manchester United have scored the opener in three of their last five meetings with CSKA and is up for grabs with for them to repeat the feat in this tie.
