POVERTY! Thieves Allegedly Burgle Into Benue State Govt House And Carted Away Foodstuff (Details)

Some burglars on Tuesday allegedly broke into the flat of the aide-de camp to the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, and carted away foodstuffs and electrical appliances.

This is the second time thieves would gain access into the state government house to loot property. The first was in May this year, when some persons allegedly burgled the maintenance department, as well as the residence of the chief detail to the governor and carted away over N75,000 and two mobile phones belonging to his wife.

But in the latest incident, the thieves were said to have carted away one refrigerator, a television set and four bags of rice, among other items.

some cleaners inside the government house, who security operatives suspected had knowledge of the theft, had been arrested.

Reacting to the incident, Chief Press Secretary to Benue State Governor, Mr. Terver Akase, denied knowledge of the theft. He said, “I am not aware of this particular incident, but I can say with confidence that the security within and around government house has been very adequate and tight. Of course, there is no human society that is perfect, so I can’t vouch for any of the staff members. If anybody is found wanting, naturally the law will take its course no matter who is involved.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Moses Yamu, said he had yet to be properly briefed on the incident.

if they were will pay thinking of stealing food to tell pur leader what the country is now the suspect once should be free because know food for house children most eat ,though it is wrong insted ask goverment of that state should even padon them and provide there wants
