A Facebook user identified as Chris-lance Osondu-Onyemechara, has taken to the social networking platform and shared the photos of the newly-launched Ellen Sirleaf Johnson road sign built by Governor Rochas Okorocha in Owerri, the Imo state capital, which was just destroyed by residents of the town in a bid to show their displeasure with it.
Recall that the Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, was honoured last year November with a statue and a signpost by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
As Nigerians, especially the residents of Imo heavily criticized and condemned the governor for honouring foreign leaders and "doing less" for his people in Imo state, have made their threats real by destroying the signpost.

Awon ode. Instead of breaking the heads of polithiefians that held you captive like your Arab spring MATES did,  you're busy breaking statues and signposts. Una get long way to go. SMH

There is NO need for the statue.

YES name a Road after her - but to ERECT a statue is SILLY.

The MONEY would have better used to make the road look like a road.

AFRICA always BUILDING WITE ELEPHANTS in the MIDST of POVERTY.

It would have been better to use their energy to organise a powerful and peaceful demonstration to government House to show their grievances. Statue is not the problem here. Fools.
