It's rather sad that people would risk their lives for such lofty adventure.
Has anyone asked where his soul is going? Sad Sad Sad
Life is not by power nor by might
I wish he had learned this!!!

Immagine ! if he could afford up to #800000 to bribe the airport officials , why didn't he use that money to start a good bussiness in Nigeria. Its such a pity. may his soul rest in peace and may God grant his familly the fortitude to bar the lost

Nigeria and corruption. We are blaming the politicians when if we are given the opportunity, we will do worse than them .An airline staff who takes home #30,000 feels its too small when pple take care of their needs with #15,000 a month. Possily if he loose his job as a result of this issue ,He will understand what it means to be a job seeker. Greedy people !!

He was tooooooooooo desperate...Our country is good...Some are too lazy, they just wanna go to US, do you think money is planted up in the tree over there?  You have to work hard to make it over there not even only US its everywhere in da world.... Laziness is *SIN*

Some people are too lazy you assume abi? What about the millions of hardworking people who despite working 12 hours a day can not even afford 3 meals a day? And if we talk about this group, we should also not forget the millions other who actually have no job at all. In a country like Nigeria where many things dont work, people are bound to be desperate. I mean very desperate. The only thing is, our desperation has not culminated in us sacking the people that are bringing us down.

BTW, if you have tasted abroad before, you would not critisize getting out of Nigeria. Though, not everything is beautiful in Europe or the States; I can assure you that a whole lot is better than in Nigeria.

Examples:

Police is are really your friend if you are not a criminal
No road blocks at every junction
There is separation of power and duties within police and between them and the Army, Navy, Airforce, Lastma, Majamaja, Panapana
LIGHT is always on
You dont have prison like fence around your house
You can walk on the street without loosing your hearing ability
Driving is a joy
Roads are generally in a very good shape
You can go out all night without the fear of police or armed robber
And with my German passport, I can actually travel to many countries in the world without a visa. And with my Nigerian Passport? I can not even travel to Nigeria with it without being molested by officially sactioned armed robbers in uniform aka Immigration, Police, Army and even Quarantine. Imagine!

etc.

If it were not for the cold winter and some cases of overt and covert racism, methink Europe would be equitable to a paradise. When I talk about Europe, I am not talking about dirty Peckham London o. I am not a fan of the UK anyway sha.

To the dead: You have died in pieces, may your soul rest in peace.

You really talked sense here. That was actually my thought when I read that statement. Maybe they should be paid 1 million Naira regardless of their productivity. Our society is just sick. It is not about the leaders only.

There is no way he could have survived that at all considering the Atlantic coldness. He should have been told and warned of such a deadly risk.
RIP!!!
