The retired bank staff accused the management of sacking more than 2,500 workers between 2006 and 2008 without paying their entitlements.
The protesting workers called for the payment of their severance benefits, pension contributions, share certificates, among others.
The protesting workers also disrupted activities at the bank and turned back those who came to transact business with it.
Efforts to speak with the management of the bank proved abortive because nobody was allowed into the building.
The Vice National Chairman of ASSBIFI, Victor Adekeso lamented the plight of his colleagues and blamed it on the management of the bank.
“This is just the beginning, we are going round the country to protest the inhuman treatment, until our demands are met,” he stated.
