Imprisoned Rapper Meek Mill has been released from prison on Tuesday, after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court granted his release request.

Mill, announcing his release from prison, took to the social media to thank God, family and friends and the prosecutors that had his back, during his nightmare-stay in prison.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered his release on Tuesday after a controversial ruling in November which saw the hip-hop star sentenced to serve 2 to 4 years behind bars for a probation violation from a 2008 conviction on drug and firearm charges. In its order, the court cited prosecutors' statements that there are "credibility issues with a police officer who was a 'critical witness.

In a highly dramatic scene, the rapper was driven from the state prison in Chester, Penn on Tuesday evening directly to a nearby parking lot, where he and his friend, Philadelphia Sixers co-owner Michael Rubin, boarded a helicopter and flew to the nearby Wells Fargo Arena to attend the team’s fifth game of the NBA playoffs.
