“On the 17th of May, 2018, the children reported to school in the morning but never came back. We appeal to anyone with information of their whereabouts to call Basic Rights Counsel Initiative.
He said the organization, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, BRCI, is a non-governmental organisation based in Calabar, Cross River State and responsible for the fight against child abuse and other cases involving children.
When they contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Ms Irene Ugbo on phone on Wednesday, she confirmed being aware of the incident but noted that nobody was arrested.
She said investigation on the matter was ongoing and pictures of the kids have been sent to media houses for announcement for members of the public to assist in recovering the kids.
“I am aware of the incident, the matter was reported and we are investigating it. The pictures of the kids have been forwarded to media houses for announcement,”
