Juventus will look to start their UEFA Champions League campaign on a winning note as they travel to Spain to face Valencia in a Group H encounter.
Valencia has had an abysmal start to their La Liga campaign and find themselves just a spot above the relegation zone. They are winless in 4 matches, having drawn 3 of those. Valencia seemed to have carried over their pre-season form into the 2018-19 campaign and will hope the same is not the case in the Champions League.
Juventus have had a usual start. The Bianconeri have won all of their Serie A games thus far. But, it is what is expected of the defending league champions. The manner of the victories though, would not leave a sweet taste in the mouth of Massimiliano Allegri, the players and the fans, with most of the wins coming after a lengthy toil and with a narrow scoreline.
What matters though, is that Cristiano Ronaldo is off the mark for Juventus. Allegri has one of the most potent attacks at his disposal – an abundance of riches in the final third – and will hope that this pulls them closer to the UEFA Champions League trophy.
The two teams have never met each other at a competitive event. Ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Spain, we take a closer look at the two sides.
