Benue-Based Pastor, David Gbashi Given A Lift By Armed Robbers, Dies In Auto Crash

A pastor David Gbashi, of Zion Ministries, Katsina Ala, Benue State lost his life in an auto crash after being given a lift by armed robbers.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Benue state, received the sad news of the demise of one of their members, Rev. Pharmacist. David Gbashi, of Zion Ministries, Katsina Ala, Benue state, who was involved in a fatal motor accident that took his life and five others.

It was gathered that, Gbashi was involved in a fatal motor accident on Thursday, 27th September, 2018, in Tyowanye.

According to journalist Michael Akor Juku, the investigating police officer at the scene of the accident, revealed that the four suspected armed robbers had given a lift to the pastor and another elderly man.

It was gathered that charms, a gun and a large of sum money, believed to be owned by the gang members, were found in the car. The identity of one of the robber was revealed as Sesugh, a notorious robber in Gboko.

The cleric went to Adikpo, in Kwande local government area, for a function and was travelling to Otukpo, before the ugly incident.

According to reports, all the passengers in the vehicle died on the spot due to the heavy impact of the collision as can be seen in the wreckage of the vehicle he boarded that evening. .
