A 25-year-old Nigerian man identified as Daniel Asaya who became the first black and international student union president of Bournemouth University, has openly come out as gay. Dan Yomi made the shocking revelation on his Instagram page and has since, received massive support from his colleague for taking the bold step which many shy away from due to discrimination. Asaya who hails from Ondo state graduated with a first class from Crawford University in Ogun state where he studied ICT. He travelled to the UK in 2014 for his master’s degree program. The young man has joined the list of Nigerians in diaspora putting the country in good light.
