The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi today, paid the hospital bill of a mother, who delivered a baby boy in the federal medical center, Asaba.
The woman, Mrs Onyinye Pius Onyebuchi from Ebonyi State, delivered sometime ago through a cesarean session (CS), and has been ‘held hostage’ in the hospital until the ‘Okada man’ husband clears the hospital bill of over a hundred and seventy thousand naira.
Help came madam Onyinye’s way today, when a good Samaritan visited the hospital and was told of her ordeal, as she ( good Samaritan) later located one of the aides to the deputy speaker and presented the issues.
Osanebi who was immediately briefed of the situation, came in and saw things for himself and immediately ordered for the ‘release’ of the nursing mother and her baby as he cleared or her bills with the hospital.
