Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has advised Nigerians not to hand over the nation and democracy to people he described as ‘thieves and hooligans’. The former president said this when he spoke at the launch of Goodluck Jonathan’s book in Abuja, on Tuesday, November 20th.

Speaking at the event, Obasanjo said;
Quote
“There is still no substitute for democracy when all is said and done. It fosters peace. It builds and does not destroy. It unifies, rather than divides.

But all these can only happen if democracy is in the hands of Democrats. If it is in the hands of thieves and hooligans, they can use it as a weapon. We should ensure hooligans don’t get it.”

The former president has since asked Nigerians to vote out the Buhari-led administration in 2019 and has openly declared his support for Atiku Abubakar, who is running as the PDP presidential candidate in next year’s election.

OBJ speaks like a real politician. After endorsing Atiku, he still maintains that Nigeria should not be handed over to thieves.

You guys stole but never destroyed the nation. And still left enough behind. The economic situation of nigeria was very good compared to now. Just that Nigerians likes suffering hence someone would still support buhari cos we love suffering. Fela was right.

"Ebora  Owu ' and his Double Talk.  What made this man to go to war with his Vice after 2003: the same man he is now begging Nigerians  on bedded knees to accept to rule them.
