SO SAD! FUTO Final Year Student Drowns While Swimming In A River in Owerri (Photos)

A Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO final year student has drowned while swimming in a river on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Kester Gabriel, a 500 level Material and Metallurgical Engineering student,  died inside the Otammiri river in Ihiagwa area of the state.

He was said to have returned to school, on Sunday, after his Industrial Training, only to die on Wednesday (yesterday) while swimming.






His body has since been recovered and deposited in a mortuary.

CHAII BROS, WHY NAA, WHY U GO SWIM AS U NO SABI SWIMMING. I THANK GOD AS THAT RIVER NO SWALLOW ME AND MY JUNIOR BROTHER IN THE 80s WHEN WE USED TO GO AND SWIM IN THAT RIVER. RIP
