Nigerian music industry has had an unprecedented year after seeing an upsurge in the penetration and acceptance of Afrobeats globally, though significantly behind Asian and Latino music in the pecking order, it is still with some due respect to the culture. While the Nigerian music industry was rocked by the usual suspects of Wizkid, Davido and Olamide some notable new comers such as Kizz Daniel, Burna Boy, Duncan Mighty, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade have made their presence heavily felt in the music scene, all of them dropping bombs after bombs in what could have been one of the best years for Nigerian music so far.
