A middle-aged woman, Bola Obamoyegun, whose two sons are currently serving terms in prison for armed robbery, has been arrested for aiding her third son, Dele Obamoyegun, 27, who is also a robber in Ekiti State.

Dele was arrested along with five other suspects for alleged armed robbery, murder and cultism, while his mother was nabbed for “conspiracy, armed robbery and receiving stolen property.” .

Mrs Obamoyegun admitted to newsmen that her sons are serving terms and also admitted that Dele is her son. According to Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Amba Asuquo, the six-man robbery gang, to which Dele belonged, also allegedly admitted to killing a member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Michael Adedeji. .

He gave the names of the other all-male gang members as Idowu Sunday aka Longer, 25; Adeniyi Wumi, aka Wumi Woro, 23; Leye Ojo, aka Danku, 26; Akindahunsi Damilola, aka Akure, 22; and Olaosebikan Babatunde, 48.
