19-Yr-Old Boy, Opeyemi Sunday In Trouble Over His Intention To Sleep With 34-Yr-Old Lady In Lagos

A 19-year old boy, one Opeyemi Sunday, has landed in trouble over his desire to sleep with a 34- year old lady at Abule-Odu area of Egbeda, Lagos where they reside. It was gathered that the suspect attacked and pushed the lady to the ground in order to have his way during a squabble between them. However, the whole plan failed after the lady raised alarm and their neighbours rescued her.

The victim claimed that he rained blows on her and she lost her phone in the process but he was unable to penetrate her before she was rescued.The matter was reported to the police and the suspect was arrested. He was later charged before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for the alleged assault. He initially pleaded guilty but later changed his mind and pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, did not opposed his being granted bail but asked the court for a date for hearing. Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, granted him bail in the sum of N30,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 13th February, 2019.

It was learnt that the defendant escaped being charged for rape because he had not penetrated the lady before she was rescued but was.charged for assault. The victim’s name was withheld as she pleaded that she did not want her name mentioned.
