A Zambian lady identified as Nelly Kabolesha, aged 34, has died in Munich, Germany.

In a statement issued by First Secretary (Press) at the Zambian Embassy in Berlin Kellys Kaunda, Ms. Kabolesha collapsed on the train when she was on her way to work and died shortly after arrival at the hospital.

Zambia’s Ambassador to Germany, Anthony Mukwita would like to convey his deepest condolences to the Kabolesha family, her workmates and friends.

“The Zambian community in Germany is a small community. The loss of one of us has immediate impact and inflicts significant pain”, ambassador Mukwita has said. The Zambian envoy says Ms. Kabolesha has died so young when her contributions to society were acutely needed. “The loss of a youth who was also a professional is not a small loss as that robs the future of the leaders society is preparing today”, said ambassador Mukwita.

Ms. Kabolesha lived and worked in Munich for Zalaris Deuschland as a Success Factor Consultant in the Human Resource Department. Those that knew her closely describe her as a hard working and loving young woman whose lifestyle contributed to Zambia’s good image in Munich.

“I can only call on Zambians to emulate the hardworking spirit and decent lifestyle of Nelly so that together we could work and move as true representatives of our own country in Germany”,
said Ambassador Mukwita.

Once German authorities are through with formalities associated with death, the body of Ms. Kabolesha will be sent back home in Zambia for the funeral and burial. The Zambian embassy is in touch with Ms. Kabolesha’s employers, the family back home in Zambia, the Zambian community in Germany and the German authorities coordinating efforts aimed at the timely return of the body to its final resting place.
