73-Year-Old Politician, Juma Kapuya Marries Pretty 25-Year-Old Bride, Mwajuma In Tanzania

A 73-year-old politician has made headlines after getting married to his 25-year-old lover despite the big age difference. Juma Kapuya, the former parliamentarian at Urambo constituency in Tanzania, wedded the beautiful young lady on Sunday, February 17, in a ceremony graced by family and friends.

Photos and videos posted online show the couple exchanging vows in front of a lively crowd as Juma said ‘I Do’ to one Mwajuma Mwiniko in the ceremony which was held in line with Muslim customs.

Internet users have reacted to the marriage differently, with some saying the girl has the right to choose whomever she wants to marry since she is above 18.
Others opposed to the marriage said that when Juma’s bride was born, he was two years shy of clocking 50 and was en route to becoming a member of the Tanzanian National Executive Council of the then governing Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.
