The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has called for expulsion of Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, after describing his suspension by APC National Working Committee (NWC), “as long overdue”.

Gistmania reports that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Ibikunle Amosu of Ogun State and Rochas Okorocha, of Imo State.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Friday and signed by the APC Ogun Caretaker Committee’s Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, the party said the governor should have been suspended long ago, saying the National Working Committee should expel him from the party.

The statement reads: “We received the NWC’s decision wholeheartedly and we say it is long overdue”

“Governor Amosun’s actions constitute a huge demonstration of ingratitude and party disloyalty. We are calling on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party to go ahead and expel Governor Amosun from the party without further delay. This will teach him a lesson and serve as deterrent to people who may want to follow his inglorious path”.
