Yomi Shogunle, an Assistant Commissioner of Police and head of Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit has been transferred from Lagos to Nkalagu in Enugu State.

Ends SARS campaign advocate, Segalink confirmed that Yomi Shogunle has been transferred to Nkalagu after @TrollMagazineTV tweeted;

BreakingNews: You can’t win a war against a United people. Thanks for listening IG @PoliceNG Thanks @segalink for being objectively resolute. #EndImpunity #ReformPoliceNG

Segalink tweeted in response

True Story. Yomi Shogunle bites the dust…may we never see his kind again at the helm of affairs. Good riddance. #EndImpunity #ReformPoliceNG

Here is how Twitter users are reacting to the report;

The police officer recently got Twitter users irritated after he claimed that prostitution is a sin under the two major religions practised in the federal capital territory (FCT). Shogunle made the comment following the reactions that trailed the detention and conviction of some women who were arrested for alleged prostitution at different locations within the FCT at the weekend.

“Those making noise on the clampdown on prostitutes in #Abuja; •Prostitution is a crime under the law •P is a sin under the 2 main religions of FCT residents •Medicine says P is spreading HIV & STD, P is lifeline of violent criminals, P don’t pay tax, Nigeria culture frowns at P,” Shogunle wrote.

What was said about prostitution is true, but arresting and molesting them in police custody is also a major crime. So therefore, what then was the real purpose of arrest. Self satisfaction under pretense
