A househelp identified as Goodluck, is currently wanted by the Police after he connived with two other thieves to steal a Jeep belonging to his employer.
The accomplices were however arrested by police officers yesterday at Ladipo market in Mushin area of Lagos, while they attempted to sell of the Toyota Highlander SUV, Vanguard reports.
The owner of the vehicle and Goodluck’s employer, Mrs. Abiola Abegunde, stated that she was not at home when the incident happened. She only received a call and was briefed about Goodluck and his accomplices’ action.
“They reversed the vehicle out of the street into the adjoining street which is Busari street, where the house-boy stood. He was also shouting thief, to convince passers-by,”
She immediately reported the matter to police officers at Igando Police station in Lagos. While reacting to the arrest of the two boys, the Lagos Police Spokesperson, DSP Elkana Bala, explained stated,
However, when the intending buyer decided to call the number he saw in the particulars of the vehicle, he was told that the SUV had been stolen from a location around the Igando area.
