Mrs. Adesimbo Ukiri, the current Managing Director of Avon Health Care Ltd has been dragged before the Lagos Magistrates Court for her refusal to pay her debts to Grand Harbour Homes and Suites Ikoyi to the tune of $21, 000 which in today's exchange rate would be about N7.6 million NAIRA only.

In 2010, which is 9 years ago, Mrs Ukiri had gone through a divorce with her ex-husband, Mr. Ukiri and she had sought shelter at "Grand Harbour Homes and Suites, 5a/b Agodogba Avenue. Parkview Estate Ikoyi", on the assurance that she would pay once she secured a job.
When she eventually secured the job, at her present company, Avon Health Care, she neglected and refused to pay her accumulated hotel bills to the tune of  $21, 000, despite several demands from her creditor who had graciously and in good faith accommodated her in her time of trouble.

In Suit No. MCL/743/19 filed before the Lagos Magistrates Court sitting in Igbosere, Lagos, Grand Harbour Homes is claiming: $21, 000 being liquidated debt owed by the defendant inclusive of interest at the rate of 10% of the judgment sum etc As at the time of this report, the matter was yet to be assigned to any Magistrate for proper litigation.
