Police, Hunters Rescue Kidnapped Edo Catholic Priest Reverend Father Isaac Agubi

Operatives of Edo State Police Command and hunters have rescued the kidnapped Catholic priest, Reverend Father Isaac Agubi, of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ikpeshi community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.

DAILY POST reports that the cleric was abducted on Sunday along Auchi-Akoko Edo road at about 5pm after conducting service on the same day while returning to his residence.

According to sources, Rev. Agubi was rescued by the security men at Sasaro area in Akoko-Edo after exchange of gunfire with his abductors inside a nearby forest.

One of the fleeing abductors was arrested after sustaining bullet wounds during exchange of bullets in the bush.

The cleric was later abandoned by the kidnappers, who fled the bush after intense battle with police and the hunters.

Effort to reach Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, was unsuccessful.

Bro! The entire nation is disjointed like a scrap engine .I don’t know what is the purpose of all the universities campuses around the country .As far as I know ,universities major objective is productivity .A university campus is more of a research institute where policies are formulated in theory ,tested and practically proven .The enormous challenges of this country lies within its academic institution .Well ! I wish Nigeria and Nigerian well .Maybe u guys will see the end of the tunnel until the year 7010,I mean 5000yrs more to go for yah .Yiur refused to get it right even when the right is right stirring yiour in the face .
