Seems it is an M.O for Burna Boy's mum to pick up all his awards for him, his latest conquest was winning the best international act at the just concluded BET awards 2019. The award was promptly presented to Burna Boy's mum even though Burna Boy himself was in the crowd. That was not the main show, the main show was the acceptance speech given by Burna Boy's mum, she is quoted saying:
"If Burna Boy were to be here now, he would say to every black person, remember that you were first African before you became anything else"
