Authorities are looking to file murder and kidnapping charges in the death of 23-year-old Utah college student Mackenzie Lueck. The Salt Lake City police chief said Ayoola A. Ajayi, 31, will be charged with aggravated murder, kidnapping and desecration of a body. Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said Friday that 23-year-old MacKenzie Lueck communicated with 31-year-old Ayoola A. Ajayi electronically on June 16, though he declined to say how they got in touch.

Ayoola is an author, model and IT worker, his book, "Self forge" about murdering people by burning them alive, mentions O'odua People's Congress in Nigeria. He joined groups for authors who write Mystery, Crime, Thriller, but also *Memoir* Authors.

According to his LinkedIn page, Ajayi is a former information technology specialist for the US Army and recently worked for Dell and Goldman Sachs.
CNN has reached out to the US Army and Dell for comment.
His neighbour, Tom Camomile, told CNN prior to his arrest that Ajayi was a "smart guy" and a "computer geek."
"It's a little unnerving and unsettling" that Ajayi was connected to the case, Camomile said at that time.
"I think he's a man of high integrity," he said, "but you don't know anyone."
"Surprises pop up all the time."

Lueck disappeared hours after that communication. Police say she met someone at a park in the early morning hours of June 17, and left with that person willingly.

Police say Ajayi has denied communicating with her after June 16, but phone location data puts them both at the park where she was last seen within a minute of each other at 3 a.m. on June 17.

Ayoola Ajayi has been said to have been a suspect in a previous rape case involving an adult female in Utah in 2014, but the case was dropped without charges, here is the press release from the North Park Police Station regarding the case:

He was alleged to have tried to hire a local contractor to soundproof a room in his house and hang some hooks on the wall, a request the contractor turned down because he claimed they were weird, here is a video interview with the contractor, Brian Wolf:

At the moment, Mr. Ayoola Ajayi is being held at an Utah detention centre after a judge ruled his detention without possibility of bail at this time because he is deemed a threat to the community if released as with the press release below:
