MAURITANIA

Mauritania are still alive in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as they were able to claim a draw against Angola but will have had their hearts in their mouths late on when the Angolans thought they had won it.
A 90th-minute effort appeared to have won the game for Angola but the offside flag saved Mauritania and that point could prove to be vital as they head into their last game of Group E needing a win to give themselves a chance of progression.
That was Mauritania’s first ever point in the Africa Cup of Nations and they hope it will not be their last at what is their first appearance in the competition and they have a fully-fit squad to choose from for their last game.

TUNISIA

Tunisia needed a deflected free-kick to rescue a potentially vital point for them in their quest to progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations as they were able to hold Mali to keep their fate in their own hands.
Had Mali held on for the win, Tunisia could still have been eliminated with a win over Mauritania but the draw which came as a result of Wahbi Khazri’s effort means that Tunisia will definitely reach the last 16 with a victory.
Following another below-par performance, the pressure of needing a win here might spur Tunisia on whilst the threat of losing their places in the side could also come into play with some changes likely to be made for this game.

THE PREDICTION
Tunisia have failed to impress at the Africa Cup of Nations so far and another poor performance here against tournament debutants Mauritania could see them eliminated at the first hurdle. The two teams meet with both still able to qualify for the last 16 but at least one of them will be going home. Tunisia will undoubtedly be favourites but will need to find an early goal to help them build some confidence after two poor displays so far and will want to avoid putting pressure on themselves. Mauritania will be game and will play with plenty of energy but Tunisia’s class should tell in the end.
