BENIN
Benin played out a goalless draw with Guinea-Bissau to remain unbeaten at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations but their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages are going to depend on the result from their final contest in Group F.
Despite the poor showing in their previous game, Benin are not expected to make too many changes for their crucial clash with Cameroon although Moise Adilehou will be pushing for a recall after failing to appear against Guinea-Bissau.
CAMEROON
Defending champions Cameroon secured another point as they sit top of Group F and despite almost being assured of a spot in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations, they will need a positive result from this game to be sure.
After opening up with a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau, the Cameroonians were held to a goalless draw against Ghana to take their tally for the tournament to four points and they sit two points clear at the top of the group.
With Benin still having everything to play for and their own place in the next round not guaranteed, Cameroon cannot afford to take many risks with their team selection but may look to reinstate Eric Choupo-Moting into the starting XI.
THE PREDICTION
Cameroon look set to progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations but will want to ensure they qualify in style rather than leaving it to chance. A win for Benin here would throw the group wide open as they would leapfrog Cameroon and whilst they would still be in a strong position to progress, a point would be enough to ensure they do qualify. They have been the standout team in Group F so far and although this could end in a draw, Cameroon are the most likely to claim a win if the spoils are not shared.
