Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Omoyele Sowore, candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2019 general elections have met in New York to strategize on what they describe as injustice in Nigeria, SaharaReporters reports.

The duo made their position known on Tuesday in New York after a series of closed door meetings.

In a Facebook live session to address the public, Sowore said, "We met to talk about things we've both been passionate about but on a different plane and we respect those boundaries but we've had very useful conversations today so that everybody that is aspiring for a fair and just society can come together and rise up now and bring an end to the sorrow and suffering and the domination and the oppression that has become almost synonymous with our generation and our genes in Nigeria.

"Those of you out there who think we have big differences and that we can't talk, know that when people have revolutionary minds, these minds meet and bodies eventually meet."

On his part, the IPOB leader hailed the meeting describing it as liberation for those trapped in the contraption called Nigeria.

Kanu said, "I met with my good friend Sowore and it has yielded today a confirmation that people can come together.

"There isn't much of a difference for what we are fighting for because we are fighting for justice. We know and hope that the people that found themselves today trapped in that contraption called Nigeria will one day be free and it takes people to do it.

"I doubt it comes from heaven and we have to do it, we have decided to do it and it must be done."

Keep Going You are already a Legend, Mr. Sowore, and to see these people come together, omg, so encouraging, you see, we need a vibrant youth to challenge the existing bad leaders. Things are changing, it is not by force to do things in certain ways, we should be working together as one, rather than attacking People like Mr. Kanu, who is also a Legend

Nigerians support bad leaders, that is why we keep suffering, and we end up suffering in silence, but now things can change, since we are fearful sometimes, what we need to do is support a healthy Opposition like Mr. Sowore and we can rally around leaders that will make the desired changes to our country, let us not be envious of Sowore.

No One is Perfect and i do not follow speculations, especially Nigerian speculations, because there is a lot of fake stories out there, rather i will look at what i know and decide, there is a lot of propaganda and attempt to deceive people out there. If we keep waiting for this current Old leaders, who want their families to taken over the power, then we are not trying in anyway to influence our politics, but if we support a different better Leader, then we as a people have started to influence the direction of things, things will never change as long as we do not try to influence our politics, it will be ths same stories.

I have seen a lot of fake people accuse Mr Sowore, for example during the elections, i remember that fake woman accusing sowore, of something he did not do, where is she now, during same elections i saw, how channels tv removed sowore from the debates, even though from the polls, he came second, Also i see, a lot of Envious youths, just repeating rumours, and they do not explain what he really did wrong.

If it is about the money SOWORE raised through GoFundME, that is not a scam, i also donated willingling to contribute positively to Nigerian politics, and i knew Sowore will not win, but he would be a positive influence on our society and i can pay for that, just like how we contribute money to church, we can do the same for our politics, to encourage Good leaders, it is worth the attempt, than no action, than just looking and expecting things to get better from the same bad people, who are never interested in the Right governance.
