One Mr Fidelis has been arrested for luring his neighbor’s househelp and selling her off to his sister in Lagos.
According to report, Theresa went missing five months ago and efforts to locate her proved futile. Ironically, the suspect played a major role in the search.
According to victim’s boss, “We have been looking for Theresa since March. We even asked Fidelis about it and he said she must have run away with a man, only to get a call from Mushin police station, in August, that the girl was in their custody.
On getting there, Theresa confessed that the suspect promised her a better life and a job where they would be paying her better, but she had worked for the woman he took her to, for 5 months with no pay.
She revealed that that was why she went to report to the police. The police summoned the woman and asked her who brought her the girl, she said it was her brother. They then told her to call the said brother. .
Lo and behold, when the man came, it was my neighbor. He started having high blood pressure immediately and was begging for forgiveness. He said it was the work of d devil. Five good months. I’m still in shock. The woman owns a buka in Mushin.”
