The bail conditions of #OmoyeleSowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, can’t be met, Inibehe Effiong, a lawyer in his legal team, has revealed.

In an interview with TheCable, Effiong said: “Those conditions are not conditions that can be fulfilled. We have made contacts and explored all channels, clearly, nobody is willing to be a surety for that amount. .

That amount of money is not available, it is not realistic under the current economic situation. We are going back to the trial court next week to seek a variation of the bail conditions.

We understand bail is at the discretion of the court but the Administration of Criminal Justice Act allows us to apply for a variation where the conditions are such that the defendants cannot meet.”

On Friday, Sowore was granted a N100 million bail with two sureties who must be resident and have landed properties within Abuja. The sureties must deposit original documents of those properties in the court registry. .

One of the sureties must also deposit N50 million with the court pending the determination of the case. All sureties would also be required to submit evidence of tax clearance for 2016, 2017, 2018.

OMG! Where are these prices from? I believe that the state in such a situation has no right to demand such money. You need to demand more loyal punishment and fight for release for a smaller amount. There is a possibility that lawyers are not qualified enough and they lack experience in such cases and therefore this problem arose. When I had problems with the migration service, I tried to involve the most experienced lawyers to solve my problem. I didn't want to leave my family and go to my home country. Thanks to the timely collection of documents, I managed to cope with this problem and obtain a residence permit. If you are interested in my info go here  fl-ilc.com and find out more about this.
