Ijaw youths have reportedly shut down telecommunication masts belonging to Globacom in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.

Ijaw youths have again shut down telecommunication masts belonging to Globalcom in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

The youths under the auspices of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Central Zone, said the telecommunication company refused to sit on a roundtable with them to resolve some of their corporate issues affecting the state.

The Chairman, IYC, Central Zone, Kennedy Olorogun, asked Glo network subscribers to port to other networks pending the willingness of the company’s managers to resolve the problems.

Is it not more profitable to engage in massive fishing and shrimping, so as contribute to the food basket. Nigerians are the largest group of people that do not contribute anything to the world.

In which water are they going to engage in the massive fishing? The same that has long been polluted with condemed oil? Yet u call them lazy and, when there is no standing primary o secundary school in any of the ijaw land, yet all Nigeria millioneas, past leaders and there family's benefits from the oil that are bein drained from the same land and water.
