Lawyers to pro-democracy activist and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, were unable to secure his release from the Department of State Services on Wednesday despite perfecting his bail condition and securing a court order to that effect.

However, upon arriving at the DSS facility around 4:30pm, the court’s bailiff alongside Sowore’s lawyers were turned back by the secret police, which claimed they had closed for the day since 3:30pm

Jungle... Nigeria is no more a country as far as I'm concerned. We allowed a bastard to rule us. I can't blame any voter tho as the last election was obviously rigged.

So they should wait around for them after they close for work?? See, if the govt mean to put u down, believe me not even the highest court in the country can save your head. So forget it the govt doesn't really mean this Sowore guy. It is the same in every country. The US has various black sites all over the world where they detain whoever they want for as long as they want. Just because these European and American nations sell a good image to the media doesn't mean they are better than african nations in terms of respecting human rights.
