Nwokedi is standing trial on a one-count charge of assault before Chief Magistrate Oluyemisi Adelaja.
The prosecutor, Corporal Joseph Ameh, alleged that Nwokedi, on June 25 in Badiya, used a blade to inflict deep cuts on the neck and left Bosom of Endurance Aghalokpe, resulting in bodily harm and subsequent admission in a hospital.
Ameh said that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 335 of the Criminal Code, Cap.17, Vol. 2 Laws of Lagos 2003.
Nwokedi, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Her counsel, Mr. Nnadi Uche, pleaded with the court to grant her bail on liberal terms.
In her ruling, Adelaja granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
She said that the sureties must show evidence of gainful employment in reputable organisations.
