Gombe Governor, Inuwa Yahaya Approves N550m Gratuity For Retired Civil Servants In The State

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has approved N550 million for payment of gratuities to retirees in the state, promising that the process of payment to the affected retirees would soon commence. He directed all relevant agencies and personnel to fast track the process.

The governor made this know while speaking during the flagging off of the ‘Goje Empowerment Programme’ on Sunday in Gombe metropolis.

speaking on this, the Governor explained that verified persons or dependants are to come to the treasury headquarters from Wednesday, December 11.

“They are to come along with Approved Pension Computation Sheet, Bank Verification Number (BVN), Identification Card (ID Card), Letter of Administration,” the statement reads.

“With the latest payment, the Governor has further demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of all retired and serving civil servants, who deserve a dignified life both in service and retirement, hence the approval of the funds,”
the Governor’s spokesman said.

Why come  to the treasury  when you could simply paid the  monies in the various accounts. Corruption at the tills is  one starting point of bank fraud. Just verify from your own records and ask those without bank accounts to  open one and provide your treasury with that information .
