Nollywood actor, Bobby Obodo has called out Nigerian movies producers, directors and writers for the quality of movies they are putting on Netflix.

Bobby Obodo took to his social media to state that the type of Nigerian movies Nollywood is putting up movies that are becoming painful.

He wrote;

Most of the movies we’re putting out on #Netflix are becoming painful to see. Such great opportunity to literally reach most parts of the world to showcase #Nollywood via the platform, & we phyuking up. Errbody wants their “shit” on Netflix- I suspect for $$$ & bragging rights.

I hope creative producers/directors/writers start putting out good movies on there to save us the shame & ridicule that cld befall #Nollywood, before it’s too late. Lazy/predictable storylines, horrible extras, disastrous costumes, etc. Come on, mehn. This opporutnity is golden!

Most of our movies are dramas. We don’t need $1M to shoot a drama movie with a sweet story line, cast decent actors for every role- esp. roles of extras (<IMPORTANT), provide costumes (MUST BE IRONED) that suits ALL xters in the movie- FOR ALL ACTORS #NollywoodGottaDoBetter

I wldn’t give a phyuk. ‘Cos if we miss out on effectively utilizing our viewing power on major movie streaming platforms, we may lose the respect we have as the 2nd (or 3rd?) largest movie industry in the world &, our negotiating power out the door with it #NollywoodGottaDoBetter

We have good producers/directors/writers now. They gotta out-produce most of the current crop of producers churning out mediocre movies, & save us from a global embarrassment. But, then again, there’s funding issues for most of them. Just tiring #NollywoodGottaDoBetter

 I don't have time for movies where they force drama, and shouts like Apes that have excess energy, I want to watch and enjoy and marvel and learn, Research shows that the brain behaves like you are in such a situation you watch, so if one starts watching depressive films, then you are putting yourselves in a depressive situation because your brain cannot differenciate the film from real life, so it is as if,  that is your situation already

Don't make a film, and then you make people shout for shouting sake when you tell a story, let the story infer the dramatic, not forcing the dramatic into the story

Please can you name the movies in Netflix you are referring to, because the Nigerian movies I have watched are all better than other movies.
