The South-South Elders Forum said that there will be a crisis that could tear the country apart if the North should insist on returning to presidency after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.

The South-South Elders stated this through its National Coordinator, His Highness, Anabs Sara Igbe, while speaking in an interview in Abuja over the weekend.

Vanguard reports that Sara Igbe said that it was logical and fair to allow south-south produce the president for another four years so as to complete its second tenure which was denied to former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Sara Igbe, who is also the National Publicity Secretary of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), said the zone was better placed in the South to clinch the Presidency in 2023.

He argued that the North may not be comfortable to support South East candidate for now because of the civil war experience where millions of the Igbo were gruesomely murdered, adding that Ndigbo were still bitter over the alleged marginalization of the zone.

He also claimed that the North will not support the South West judging from the position of the Miyetti Allah on the recently launched security outfit by the South West.

Sara Igbe said that the South-South will be the stabilizing force in the country and would make the South-East feel at home.

He also claimed that the South East is agitating for the Biafra Republic and also only interested in the restructuring of the country and not the 2023 Presidency likewise the South West
Meanwhile, the Leader of Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo has called for Igbo presidency in 2023, saying Nigeria can never be united if this is not achieved.
Adebanjo wondered how anybody who loves Nigeria and wants the country to be united will be talking about denying Igbos presidency in 2023.

If another zone had said this it would make sense to me. When it is the south South zone, let everybody go and sleep nothing de happen. This is because the south south are just group of people that like the crumbs that has fallen down from the table. Just look out for some of them whos heads are big and arrange somewhere in a hidden pipeline where they will be doing some illegal bonkering operi; it is settled. Just the crumbs, they are settled. They are good at forming groups; Ah! there is no kind of dreadful name you wont hear when you have not given them their crumbs. But just arrange them, they can even sell out their blood brothers in sabotage.
