I think is a matter of  how confortable, they might be in that relationship, as in, if she not yet confty, with sweet names calling, u  can feel it when she is tryna fake it, by calling you pet names.

In my case, i call my guy, his full names, when i am angry with him, i mean if he is an african child, his complete full namessssssssss, .....lol

It depends on your understanding, She might add a kind of pet name and still disrespect him in a very big way. Kiss Kiss

It all depends on the pple involve.....i've not called my friends by their names before
So i dont think i will call me hubby by his own name..there are sweet names to use
that will make him melt each time you call on him...just follow your mind.

I dnt tink its proper 2 call ur hubby by name. U both can agree on a name, say dear, di, darl, or in ur loca dialect like Ife, temi, etc. Outsiders may not respect him much wen u call him by name. Imagine u want 2 call him from afar and u start yelling SA-MU-EL. Wat wil d children evn tink?

@BS u won't understand, dats ol abt our tradition in Nigeria probably Africa as a whole.even me myself won't like it 4 my wife 2 call me by my name dats disrespectful..

So,in your area, how a woman should be calling her husband ?
in my own town or area or wateva dere is a name u call ur elder 1s..so its applicable 2 a husband olso..

It depends on choice and understanding of the parties involved.

I realized it`s becoming difficult for me calling my siblings & my best friend by their names not to talk about my boyfriend or my husband.
Not becaouse that might sound disrespectful, rather because I was never used to it.

My parents never call each other by their names and not even my grand parents do.
My parents hardly call their children by their names as well.

................. so if poeple in your family dont go by their names , why did they have names in the first place ?  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
