It isn't wrong but it seems to me that a guy might want to do this for his gf. If you two talked and agreed that you two would be getting married and it seems like he hasn't proposed and you really want to, then why not?

One of my friends told her guy that she wouldn't move in with him unless they are engaged. That's about as close as she got to proposing. He proposed the next day.
