In Africa genarally , there are no nursing homes or what some call the old poeples' homes but that is very common in US and Europe .

If you have all the choices , will you send your ageing parent/parents to a nursing home or keep him/her in your house .

Please state your reasons for your choice

Oh,my God!
I would never do such a thing!
Even if I would be totally broke, from what I eat,she can eat too!
She's my responsibility, and a nursing home, it's out of question!
But for those old ppl who do not have any relatives alive,I think that thing could be taken in consideration!

Of Course Nigerians Care too much about their Parents, so those Old People's Homes will so Run outta Bizness if they Bring their As~ses here

This is understandable but for those whist children are alive and healthy . I once heard somebody say he does not want his ageing mother to be a nuisance in his home and when i inqiured what he meant by nuisance , he said "the presence of an old woman in the house could be disturbing"

Unfortunately are ppl who think that way!
It really makes me mad!
When they parents sacrificed for them, while they were kids, and even after, then their parents why didn't see them as a nuisance?
That's ingratitude gone to the extreme!

This is not a case of comfortability but getting old enough not to be able to do some basic things on their own

Nah mehn... That's very unAfrican. Who would love them there and keep them full of life. u want to put them away so they fall sick mentally from not knowing what's up in the lives of their loved ones and not being able to be of use?
