No One Will Be Sworn In -Oshiomole Blows Hot as Supreme Court Nullifies David Lyon’s Election

National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole has reacted to the Supreme Court’s judgment annulling the party’s victory in Bayelsa State, saying that the judgement lacks the fruit of justice.

Earlier today the supreme court of Nigeria nullified the election of Mr David Lyon. The judgement came barely 24 hours to his inauguration.

A five man panel of the apex court presided by Justice Mary Peter-Odili nullified the election of Lyon on the grounds that his deputy, Senator biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo presented false information to INEC in aid of his qualification for the November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa State.

The apex court ordered INEC to issue fresh certificates to the candidates of the party with the next highest votes and with the required constitutional spread of votes in the results of the election, which are the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidates.

As a result of the judgement, PDP’s Diri Douye is set to be inaugurated as Governor of Bayelsa state.

Reacting to the judgement at a media briefing in Abuja, Adams Oshiomhole signaled the party’s intention to challenge the judgment in court.

The party chairman explained that by the judgment, no one will be sworn in as governor in Bayelsa state tomorrow.

He explained that aside from the candidate of the APC, David Lyon, no other candidate has the constitutional spread to be sworn in as governor.

Oshiomhole should stop embarrassing himself. Pray, what power does he have in his possession to stop the swearing in of this eventual winner. Perhaps APC should blame itself for being unable to put it's house in order. Why should the APC continue to support crooked candidates.

When the Supreme Court gave a ruling on the Imo case, some Nigerians in the US are calling on the world' policeman to put travel ban on our Justices. Oshio baba is quite in order to also make all the noise that he can.

Se Oshio baba never go jail. I thought Mr. Obaseki Edo state gov. ordered DSS to throw him into ayoko city with immediate alacrity. I be offered to help take care of the Cape Verde queensly when he is away!

In Retrospect, methinks Oshio Baba was making his boast on the gotind that PDP, does not satisfy the criterion of satisfying Geographical Spread. So in other words, the Bayelsa House of Assembly Speaker will now continue to Act as Governor, (Ijoba fidihe) after the exit of Dixon, pending when new Gubanortorial Election will hold in the State.
