Man Who Jumped From 3rd Mainland Bridge Into Lagoon, Identified As Daibo Davies

The man who jumped into the lagoon at third mainland bridge yesterday has been identified as 22 years old Daibo Davies by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA.
As the search for Mr. Davies has span over 24 hours it would now be assumed that the recovery agencies would be looking for recovery his body rather than the person himself. Mr Davies appeared to have packed his belongings as if to say he was travelling somewhere or outside the country, you can see a photo of his luggage behind the uber below:



The incident occurred around 11am at the Third Mainland Bridge. Director-General of LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, gave an update in an interview. The official said that LASEMA was collaborating with other agencies in the rescue operation.

He said Davies, who was born on 22nd July 1998, jumped into the lagoon inward Adeniji Adele.

Oke-Osanyintolu disclosed that Davies was coming from a hospital with an Uber taxi, when he stopped and jumped into the lagoon.


He said that LASEMA got information about Davies from the taxi driver.

“The Uber driver said the missing guy was residing at 17  ************.Investigations revealed that he told the Uber driver that he had a stomach upset.

“The driver stopped at his request; he then jumped off the bridge.
The agency’s response team, with the Lagos Fire Service, Marine Rescue team, Lagos State Waterways Authority, Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, Marine Police and local divers are on ground,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.

Efforts to locate Davies was still on as at Saturday night.

Born 1998 ! And what must be the exact frustration of this young man that warranted suicide option .This is  serious issue needed to dig the circumstances that pushed a young man into suicide .

Diabolical, the source of his problem is from the hospital where he was discharged. Maybe not a suicide mission but evil forces had held him captive.
