BREAKING! Roads Split As Explosion Rocks Akure, 100 Houses, School, Churches Destroyed (Video)

No fewer than 100 residential buildings, school, churches were destroyed by an explosion in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Saturday morning.

The blast which occurred in the early hours of Saturday cut off the ever busy Akure /Owo road while many people were said to be injured.

The incident which happened less than a kilometre to Akure Airport, affected many residents of Eleyowo community, destroying completely a church and a school in the area.

Many people who lived with in the the church premises were said to be injured while some were rescued by the people of the community.


The school with boarding facilities was destroyed beyond repair with roofs of all the buildings blown off.

The spot at which the the blast happened cut off the road, hindering vehicular movement.

Many people have suggested that this could be as a result of Asteroid which have been projected to pass through the earth.


However, no official statement have been made yet over the blast which occurred over 6 hours ago.

 I don't understand this fewer than 100 residential buildings, school, churches were destroyed by an explosion, does it mean no life was lost and if so I am so thankful to God because all this news is all about the buildings and not the people in the buildings, Nigeria news is so confusing and complicating
