Five Star Group boss,, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money invited for questioning over his flamboyant lifestyle and escorts.

E-money is the brother of Nigerian musician, Kingsley Okonkwo, better known as K-Cee, and both men are famous for their extravagant lifestyles, sparking questions as to the source of their opulence.

Sources close to the matter say E-money riled the IGP over his use of policemen like servants.

Quoting an unnamed top police officer, the paper said the Lagos State Police Command has ordered the redeployment of the six police officers attached to the celebrity.

Quote
“We received a signal from the Force headquarters on Monday that the police detail of music executive, E-Money, be immediately withdrawn and an investigation into the man be launched,” the newspaper said.

“The IG was surprised that policemen were attached to him in the first place and were being used like domestic servants, carrying umbrellas, opening doors and doing menial jobs for him.

Quote
“The policemen were discovered to be attached to B Operations at the command headquarters and not MOPOL which is the usual practice. So, we have withdrawn his policemen and we are inviting him for questioning. The policemen will also be interrogated.”

E-money, who is officially registered as a clearing and forwarding agent, is well known in celebrity and political circles.

He is said to have, among other things, two Rolls Royce, two Mercedes Benz G Wagons and other Sports Utility Vehicles [SUV] worth billions of naira.

His probe is coming months after Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha, who is also known to show off his ostentatious lifestyle on social media was arrested and charged for cybercrime and money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Why should you invite someone for questioning without probable cause ? No one complained he scammed or killed him for ritual or such.  Are you inviting him because his source of wealth is hidden and you want to know if he will leak it so your kids can as well know if they can do it ? Just let a business man live his life.  Invite politicians stealing our money and leave an innocent man alone.  He sell shares or does stock exchange , what’s the problem with that

According to them, their probable cause is that he uses the policemen as servants.

What a shame the kind of contributions I read on what I think should be very sensitivet topics on this platform. Let me clarify a few things one by one. First we have someone asked what the probable cause is of investigating such a person. Well, I tell you as simply as you can understand it...E-money has unexplainable
or unaccounted wealth and a lavish lifestyle that raises an eyebrow and legally, this is the probable cause for launching the investigation.  To the guy who kept mentioning and comparing things in the Netherlands to Nigeria, you probably have not stayed long enough in Europe to know what you are talking about. Yes you are right that the tax office is usually aware of money earned legally, but then could it also be aware about money earned through illegal activities, like in some cases, prostitution, hard drugs transactions,  cyber crime etc.. My take on this however is for the Nigerian authorities not to apply selective justice to certain individuals alone but to include everyone including stealing political office holders.

Who signed police off for him should be arrested and questioned not the individual

What you've just said... Is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. I hope you don't end up like ANINI. May God have mercy on your soul.

Alot of opinions here which there is nothing wrong with, but people talking about what they don't really have a clue about is another thing. comparing Nigeria to western countries for one is nonsense . Nigeria is a third world country compare to those mentioned above, European countries are the worst in hiding wealth the only diff is they do it cleverly by diverting their money without paying taxes only the poor pay or low income people pay taxes, with that been said i still think is a probable course for government to question anyone to verify the source of their wealth .
