Obaseki Renames Oshiomhole Street After Bukola Saraki As Crisis Deepens

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo has renamed a street formerly known as Adams Oshiomole Crescent after the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Friday.

Obaseki on Friday joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has wasted no time in warming himself to his new political party and their leaders.

The governor renamed street in Auchi, Edo state from Adams Oshiomole Crescent to Bukola Saraki Boulevard.
Obaseki is seeking re-election on the platform of the PDP after the All Progressives Congress (APC) disqualified him from seeking a second term.

Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole have been at loggerheads and all peaceful avenue to settle their differences have failed.
Oshiomhole who is the national chairman of the APC has vowed that Obaseki will not return on the platform of the party and has picked Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to succeed him.

Goldmynetv had reported that a day after Governor Obaseki resigned from the APC, a Court of Appeal in Abuja suspended Oshiomhole as APC national chairman.

Obaidiots seems to forget 1). that power is transient. What he thinks feeds his warped and self destructive ego today will be reversed tomorrow at someone else's pleasure to his annoyance. 2. that there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies in politics - his new acolyte friends in PDP will soon make his life intolerable that he WILL retrace his steps. These said, he WILL pay dearly, electorally for this act of political and social sacrilege. Trust me!

So, how was this Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu elected? Has the primaries been conducted yet? Until the constitution changers where electing candidates at the primaries will be done by the people.

This is really not wise of you mr. Governor.
Saraki of all people! A person who is not in the good book of his own people! Tell us why you decided to honour Saraki. Renaming Streets, Centers, Houses etc is not the matter now. Be wise, not to sell your conscience to those bundles of Criminals and dubious Godfathers. May be the next person you will soon honour will be Igbinedion your Predecessor. A man who as a Governor almost turn Edo State into a society of Agberu. Disrespect for our Kindom, Lawlessness etc were the order of the day during his time. If you like name all the places after all the PDP memebers and Party Godfathers, they will still and soon welcome their lost son Ize Iyamu back to come and make life unbearable for you. Be wise to know that they only allow Ize Iyamu to decamp to APC to destroy the peace and Unity between you and your Party members so that the governship seat will come back to them having lost it disgracefully to Oshiomhole then. Please be wise and  concentrate on your good works for Edo people. This is the reason we all came out together to support you during your battle with Oshiomhole. If you forget this so quickly, then you will be a disappointment. Moreover Oshiomhole is not dead. He is only being suspended as a Chairman of a Party. A toothless Lion still remain a Lion. Don´t allow your enemies to use your mistakes and decision making to defame you tomorrow.
Putting Politics aside now, it is morally wrong to bite the Fingers that fed you. A word is enough for the wise.

ALTHOUGH, I AM NOT A PDP MAN BUT HAVE BEEN SHOWING LITTLE INTEREST SINCE OBASEKI JOINED THEM. HOWEVER, MOST COMMENTS HERE ARE ANTI OBASEKI. I AM NOT AN ADMIRER OF SARAKI PERSONALLY, BUT WE NEED TO WAIT FOR OBASEKI,S EXPLANATION TO KNOW THE REASON BEHIND THIS DECISION. NO ONE PASS JUDGEMENT BASE ON ONE SIDED STORY. ALTHOUGH NOBODY IS ABOVE MISTAKE BUT OBASEKI IS AN EXPERIENCE GOVERNOR. I BELIEVE HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND AT THE SAME TIME, I HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS DECISION IS NOT A MISTAKE.
