Woodberry successfully defrauded two Chicago based companies in the tune of $15 million through the use of fake email appearing to have come from the companies chief account officer.

Reports revealed “They were able to gain access to the company’s email account though a phishing attack. In one of the chicago cases, they allegedly sent an email that appears to be from the company’s accounting officer to another employee ordering a transfer”

It was also reported that the fraudulent email was almost identical to the prior legitimate email but the account number was different.

The $50Million might never be retrieved because it was converted to Bitcoin — The blockchain system is too sophisticated.

These are just false allegations, why making such huge transfers without calling the account officer on phone to double check.
