"Dressing Appropriately Will Prevent You Getting R@ped" – Victoria Inyama Tells Ladies (VIDEO)

Former Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama, has advised Nigerian women to dress appropriately to avoid getting raped. Over four thousand rape cases have been recorded across the country since the COVID-19 pandemic began in February this year.

Inyama in a video shared on her Instagram page, said it is obvious the Nigerian government isn’t ready to fix a penalty to rape crime and so to avoid being a victim of rape, ladies should endeavor to dress appropriately so they do not “trigger” the perpetrators of rape crimes.

Sharing the video she wrote;

It’s obvious to me that the Nigerian government is not really ready to put a fixed penalty to Rape and so l beg my ladies (minus the minors or aged victims) to plsssss dress in appropriate clothing so as to reduce the trigger for the perpetrators……A lot of these Perpetrators have underlying mental health issues & being around them in certain clothing is a trigger…..sadly the victim still gets to be shamed & ridiculed, so since this government is Not ready to do much, it would be wise to safeguard yourself.

Yes it’s not about the dressing some will say & compare with Europe & America but remember they take Rape cases seriously unlike Nigerian…..Think about it” she wrote

It can be recalled that Victoria Inyama recently stated that marital rape is possible, adding that it is something she has seen happen.

Victoria Inyama said there indeed is a thing called Marital rape and that many married women have experienced and are still experiencing it. She said sex even in marriage should be with consent. She argued that forcefully having sex with a spouse is another act of domestic violence. She said;

“Can a husband rape? Yes a husband can rape his spouse. It depends. Let me define it. Marital rape or spousal rape is the act of segxwal intercourse with ones spouse without the spouse’s consent. The lack of consent is essential here because it does not need to involve physical violence. Marital rape is a form of domestic violence and segxwal abuse.

Husbands can rape wife. I do not know about wife molesting a husband. The most important thing is consent is needed. A lot of women constantly raped in their marriage. They are so ashamed to even talk about it. I have experienced it and I am learning about it. The trauma and the damage it causes is beyond your understanding.”

EVEN IF YOU DRESS LIKE A NINJA, A RAPIST IS A RAPIST, CAN YOU IMAGINE AN ANIMAL CALLED HUMAN BEING molesting A BABY??? WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO DO WITH DRESSING?? WHAT OF THE LITTLE CHILDREN THAT FELL VICTIMS?  RAPIST ARE ANIMALS THAT DESERVE TO BE CASTRATED OR JAILED FOR LIFE. Q.E.D.
